Near West Side, Chicago

Near West Side is one of the 77 community areas in Chicago. It is known as the area where the Great Chicago Fire started.
Near West Side is bordered by the Chicago River to the east, and Union Pacific lines on the remaining sides.
Landmarks include the Hull House, United Center and University of Illinois at Chicago.
The rail lines include former Chicago & North Western mainlines, a former Chicago, Burlington & Quincy mainline, a Milwaukee Road mainline and several CTA lines.
